Hi everyone. We hope you all h
ad a great Bank Holiday weekend in the sun.
“Hotted than LA, drier than Madrid” was a headline I read in one newspaper… hmmm I’m not sure if that was totally true…
For those of you that came down and had a great time on Thursday night, we’re really pleased that you enjoyed the party.
However for us, there were several operational issues with Pulse in the lead up to the night and on the night itself, which were out of our control and with
which we are very unhappy about. Iowa codes bank For those of you who didn’t enjoy Thursday night we can only apologise.
Shake It has now had two very bad experiences hosting parties with club venues.
We will be sticking to our warehouses in the near future where we have much greater freedom to create the kind of high level event that we want you to enjoy, and where we have much tighter control over all aspects of how the party is run.
Moving on, as we’re certain you’ve heard by now we will be hosting a FREE PARTY this Sunday night at Village Underground!
Yes you read that correct, it’s totally free to attend.
We have none other than Dubfire on board, as well as Carlo Lio (Rhythmatic / Toronto) and Raymundo Rodriguez (Jaded) for an evening of the finest, deepest, most sublime techno and tech house around. We will be opening Village Underground
at 8pm, and closing at 4am, and then we’ll be carrying on the party until lunch time down at Cable in London Bridge with the Jaded crew.
If you want priority entrance on Sunday evening all you have to do is download the mini flyer (right click and save), fill it out with your name and email address and bring it along with you on the night.
swift codes in Jersey C I Please note that priority entrance is only available between 8pm and 10pm.

in the amazing Village Underground. Completely on us!
Finally today we would like to thank you all for your continued support, from the Shake It team, and Carl Cox and Crosstown Rebels.

31st March 2011

The last time I went to Miami was back in 2008 where Matt and I played a whole host of parties.
For a variety of reasons we didn’t go last year, and again we were not planning on it this year either but at the last minute I decided to jump on a plane which meant I wasn’t going to be DJing, but had much more time on my hands to check out parties and be a bit more social. Things that you don’t usually get to do from behind a DJ mixer.
My first stop was the Cadenza Pool party at the Shelbourne.
I arrived for the end of Frivolous just as Luciano and Carl Craig had gone on, and the place was packed and rocking,
they played back to back and pulled out an amazing selection of music. Wandering around backstage you’d bump into all the familiar clubland faces and music jornos, although I must admit that writing this a week on I seem to have forgotten who they were or they have blurred into all the other parties.
Although I do recall Luciano almost getting thrown out of his own party, for needing the toilet whilst playing and asking to use his own backstage. In the evening whilst out for dinner I bumped in Dubfire, we talked records, food (you have to see his tweets) and about his upcoming show at Village Underground on 1st May.
Western union location in ALBANIA Once dinner was finished it was on to Ovum for the crossover between Josh Wink and Steve Bug.
I thought that was me done for the night, but was dragged into a car with, shall we say, an unturndownable offer… we were off to the Fountainbleu to see the Swedish House Mafia! Not really my thing, but the place rammed and rocking. Oh did I mention I was suffering from jet lag
?
Up on Friday for a spectacularly gorgeous Miami day and random pool party number two, then a dash over to the Radio 1 pool party hosted by Pete Tong. Luicano was playing again and followed by Richie Hawtin.
Really great fun and a lot more intense that I ever imagined a Radio 1 show would be.
Friday quickly decended into a whirlwind tour.
Alexi Delano’s party for a few cocktails, then dragged to David Guetta’s party, over to Danny Tenaglia’s for a couple of hours, then downtown to the Lost Weekend to see Hawtin again, and then finally back to Danny Tenaglia’s party to finish off the day.
My first Miami was a long time ago now, and so invariably you compare your different visits and what has changed both on the scene and in
your life. But the real King of Miami never changes and never disappoints, Danny was amazing. The tight house grooves, the vocals flying in and out. Iowa codes bank Swift codes Ireland agent location It was funny as there seemed to be no other conference faces there, and the crowd mainly gay, but the music was off the hook!
Phew! Saturday arrived and I had started on the wine by lunch time. swift codes in Jersey C I Once lunch was over it was off to the Beatport event for some Dubfire and Richie Hawtin, which was another kicking party, albeit beset with some technical problems. Well us DJs keep upd ating our ge
ar, changing our set ups that there seems to always be a glitch here and
there. After the Beatport party I’d been invited to a big dinner hosted by Dubfire
and Hawtin at a supposedly unknow Italian restaurant called Sardinia, which was such a secret that we bump into Josh Wink, Steve Bug and the entire Ovum crew plus others, 30 of us took over the restaurant.
Had a great chat with Jason who runs the Detroit Electronic Music Festival, we talked music and mozzerella! Once dinner was finished I needed to change, so not wanting to get a cab decided to hire a bike and cycle back to my hotel, as you do, I left my bike with the car valet much to his amusement and then once I was changed I headed back out on the town. First stop was Mokai to check out Magda, then it was off to the Ice Palace for the Lost Weekend (yes, the same Lost Weekend party that I’d been to on Friday – STILL going strong!). Unfortunately due to some problems on the door it meant that no one was getting in (we did arrive 20 strong), and then with options fast running out we went to a dive bar for one last beer…
Sunday. Still hanging in there.
Lunch at another Italian restaurant followed by wine at the Shore Club pool party. The music was terrible, but the views were amazing. It was then off to the Carl Cox funk and soul party which was awesome. Carl played all night long, no house or techno music and he was utterly brilliant and had such a good groove. Nearly all the faces turned up including Steve Lawler and Locodice.
And that was me finished.
Literally. An honourable mention must go out to Ben Turner who joined me on all these adventures… I never made it to Ultra as this is now the Ultra Music Week and not the WMC, make of that what you will.
